2013 - 2014My research engineer work centered on developing a universal Matlab-based Raman
spectroscopy diagnostic platform that can be used for real-time detection of cancer
and precancer in vivo at the molecular level in various organs such as cervix, gastric,
colon. This work also implemented automatic axis calibration, inter-probe intensity
calibration, etc., helping to translate Raman spectroscopy method into healthcare
industry for assisting clinicians in immediate diagnosis and subsequent treatment of
cancer precursors.

My Ph.D. work focused on the development of a portable, cost-effective, confocal
Raman spectroscopy that can simultaneously acquire fingerprint and high
wavenumber Raman signals from cervix tissue during clinical colposcopy. The
developed system measures tissue Raman spectra predominantly from epithelial
layer of cervix for further enhancing cervical precancer diagnosis in v
