    Achievements Included:

    Building the Practice:
    - Helped defined the new firm standard of practice, brand and essence promise, type of services and markets through a series of workshops. Co-lead the preparation and facilitation of these workshops.
    - Drafted the contents of the firm’s pamphlets describing the main services. This resulted in the creation of 5 pamphlets that permitted to the team to raise Euristix profile and market awareness.
    - Developed a client research methodology to identify client’s needs and improve the sales team client knowledge and strategic options. T
    - Organised and presented to pre-sales meeting.

    Portfolio Management Due Diligence, Specialist Mortgage lender:
    - Conducted the review of the company portfolio management processes and methods with 2 partners and 1 senior consultant. Established a road map for future improvement that lead to the recruitment of a Chief credit risk officer.

    Due Diligence, Large Private Equity Firm
    - Conducted the Operational Risk Management section of the Due Diligence that focused on assessing quality of loans assets, loss control and loss reduction process. The review permitted to highlight and quantify material gaps in the provisioning methodology, that lead to a reduction of the valuation price.

    Courbevoie 2003 - 2005 KPMG – London – May 2003 –June 2005 – KPMG FSAP advises the Financial Services sector on regulatory issues such as Basel II. The services cover credit risk, Market risk, Operational risk, and insurance.

    Achievements Included

    Basel II compliance review, Bank of Ireland (Dublin)
    - Lead the Basel II compliance review of the Personal Lending business unit
    - Highlighted gaps in the business requirement and policies documents according to the Basel Revised Framework (The Accord) and the European Capital Requirement Directive
    - Lead meeting to explain and correct the business unit’s misinterpretation of the Accord

    Validation of Basel II Retail models, 3-month secondment, Abbey National (London)
    - Managed the relationship with the bank modelling team
    - Audited the bank’s retail Internal Ratings Based (IRB) models against the Basel II framework. These models represented 60% of the bank total Risk Weighted Asset (RWA)

    IAS39 provisioning modelling, 5-month secondment, Barclays bank (Leeds)
    - Designed the methodology and built the IAS39 compliant provisioning models for the bank mortgage portfolio. These models allowed the bank to calculate accurately the level of provision on all its portfolios, and run stress testing scenarios.
    - Designed the methodology and built the bank’s credit scoring model for the buy to let portfolio (the model was built using SAS V8 and SAS Entreprise Miner).

    Loss Given Default modelling, Nationwide Building Society
    - Developed the bank IRB Loss given default models (probability of repossession models). The model supported the company initiative to reach Basel compliance

    Asset finance modelling, Northern Rock
    - Co-designed and supported the development of a Commercial Property Credit Scoring System. The tool offered an analytical framework to the bank credit approval and monitoring process (the application was built in VBA)
  • Banques Populaires - Retail Statistical Project leader

    2002 - 2003 Banque Populaire - Paris – Apr 2002 – Apr 2003 – Banque Populaire is the 5th bank in France. The group activities range from retail banking (circa 20 banks in 2006) to investment and corporate banking (Natexis Banque Populaire)

    Achievements Included
    - Designed the Group Internal Rating Based approach for the retail portfolio.
    - Organised and facilitated the Group workshops to present and agree the Basel approach for the retail portfolio. The approach was signed off by the 25 banks of the group.
    - Built the group Probability of Default models and prior to that identified and extracted the group lowest common denominator set of data.

    Paris 1998 - 2001 GE Capital Bank - Paris –Dec 1998 – Sept 2001 – GE Capital bank (re-branded GE Money in 2005) is specialised in providing loans, credit card and mortgages on the French market.

    - Managed the risks aspects of GECB Line Management, in particular the bank’s annual mailings and monthly up-selling (Models and strategies)
    - Developed and audited credit scoring application models (credit revolving and mortgage products)
